Human Impact on Global Warming

This group of well-informed, lucid and interesting presenters from the top-level of relevant scientific research, speaking at the recent Global Climate Change panel, the second presentation to House Committee Science and Technology: Energy and Environment, put forward their cases.

It seems that the evidence for human impact on climate is becoming ever clearer and more discernible. But how long can we keep fiddling while Rome burns? How long can we keep allowing denialists and downplayers of such impacts, lop-sided lobbyists and commercial-vested interests, partial and paid-for politicians, to distract us from the need to act positively to begin to live in a way that is more in-tune with nature?

Obviously these things have a sometimes considerable ‘lag period’ before effects are fully felt — it may well be too late already to mitigate against the harm already done, and still being done daily — but that is of course no excuse for lack of action!

I wish you all a great Christmas — but for a for a happy New Year and beyond we all need to reduce our negative impact on global climate, through adopting more ‘conscious’ and less ‘thoughtless’ lifestyle-habits…

…Or at least make sure we move to dwellings a good 10 meters-or-so above sea level — to be in with a chance of attaining a seaside residence by default in due course! :D
